DIY - How to Add Succulents to Any Bouquet!
Apr 07, 2019
Because adding succulents makes everything better! Here's a quick and easy way to make every bouquet a succulent bouquet! And after the flowers are gone, you can remove the succulents and simply replant them!
Supplies:
Assorted Flowers - I just got a few bundles at my local Trader Joes!
2"-2.5" Succulents - 3-5 depending on Bouquet size
BBQ Skewers
Scissors
Floral Tape
Floral Wire - Optional for a more supported bouquet
Hot Glue Gun
Step 1:
Take your succulents out of the grower's pot and remove excess soil.
Step 2: Use water to wash away dirt leaving just the roots. Remove any dry or dead leaves.
Step 3:
Insert floral wire through the base of the succulent. Then place your skewer perpendicular to the roots and wrap the wire around to keep in place. (Do this gently, so you don't rip out the wire!) Add a bit of glue from your hot glue gun to help hold it in place. (Try to keep the roots intact if possible!) If you have floral tape on hand, you can use this to secure instead of glue!
Step 4 : Build your bouquet little by little. Add the succulents closer to the middle of the bouquet to help to support them!
